Dr. Christelle Molima Bameka is Scientific Coordinator of the Interfaculty Platform ‘Law and Society Initiative’ of the University of Lausanne, and an invited lecturer at the LLM – MAS programmes of the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
She has published book chapters and peer-reviewed articles dealing with juvenile justice (including the access to justice for child victims of crimes committed by child soldiers) and theorising war-affected community narratives on child soldiers in post-conflict contexts. She is the author of ‘Enfants soldats et reinsertion socio-communautaire. Questions de responsabilité pénale en droit international et national congolais‘ (2022) and co-editor of’ Children and Violence.Agency, Experience, and Representation in and beyond Armed Conflict’ (with Jastine C. Barrett, Mohamed Kamara, Karl Hanson, and Mark A. Drumbl).
Her interests include juvenile justice, post-conflict studies, international criminal law, international children’s rights law, international humanitarian law, childhood studies, and youth and political violence. She holds a PhD in law from the University of Geneva.
