On the eve of the end of the Obama administration, our guest speaker Gabor Rona, Visiting Professor of Law at Cardozo Law School, will discuss International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rrights Law in the fight against terrorism - Bush, Obama and Trump:

  • Whether and to what extent have US counterterrorism policies changed from the Bush to the Obama administration and what to expect from the Trump administration?
  • How do US counter-terrorism policies affect the traditional understanding of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, and their relationship?
  • What is the role played by ‘US exceptionalism’ in US counter-terrorism policies?
