Stefan G. Ziegler is a Swiss national with 25 years of experience in the fields of research and advocacy related to humanitarian action. Currently he is producing documentary films about international law with which he also lectures. His Geneva-based company, AdvocacyProductions, has showcased and debated their award-winning film 'BROKEN – A Palestinian Journey Through International Law' at events worldwide. The film is now integrated into numerous leading universities’ curricula.
He continues working in the humanitarian and development domains, predominantly through coaching and teaching. He worked for nine years for UNRWA in Palestine, the ICRC and served as OSCE head of reporting in eastern Ukraine. Recently, PeaceHumanity, a Bratislava based international law NGO appointed him 'Patron of Youth Ambassadors for the Right to Peace Movement'. He has given presentations at the EU Parliament, the UN Headquarters in New York and Geneva and various other international fora. At the Graduate Institute he has been guest lecturer since 2019. Other guest lectures include UniGe, EPFL, Politecnico, Cornell and Lyon 3. His recent publications include a research publication conducted by students at the Graduate Institute’s adult education programme entitled,'Advocacy, what’s in a name?'. His other publications appeared with UNOCHA and UNRWA.
