The Academy proposes a strong theoretical knowledge on International humanitarian Law, Human Rights Law in Armed Conflict, International Criminal Law and Refugee Law. Nonetheless, believing that such knowledge should be supplemented with practical experience, the Academy provides its students with different activities within the Academy and outside of it, in order to strengthen the students’ knowledge and skills as well as prepare them for the work environment expected for them once finishing their studies at the Academy.
Taking part in a professionalizing activity can be validated for ECTS and replace optional courses. The Academy encourages its students to take such an activity and gain experience and knowledge on their way to become international lawyers. Such professionalizing activities grant the students with distinguished qualities well needed and required in the international work community, thus increasing their capability to fully integrate in such community.
