The overall aim of the Law Clinic is to bridge the gap between theory and practice. In the first part of the Law Clinic (Fall Semester) students will acquire general skills such as legal drafting, fact to law presentation, and analysis of case law. In the second part (Spring Semester), students will be required to draft a real communication or brief for the external partners of the Law Clinic, such as the NGO TRIAL, and the defence councils before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. There is a rigorous selection process to participate in the Law Clinic.
Detailed information on the programme of the Law Clinic for the 2011-2012 academic year and on how to apply for the selection process will be provided at the beginning of the academic year.
The Law Clinic replaces two elective courses (6 ECTS credits) of the spring semester, although it starts in the fall term.
