Sumon Vangchuay

Sumon Vangchuay works closely to assist the Director of the Master’s of Advanced Studies (LL.M.) in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, Professor Paola Gaeta, and is mainly responsible for the scholarships, fundraising initiatives and professionalising activities of the LL.M. Programme.

Sumon is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and is currently writing her international law thesis on the anti-discrimination and equality law in the European context of labour migration. Prior to her doctoral study, Sumon worked as Research Officer for the International Labour Office Bureau for Gender Equality in Geneva and received her Master’s degree in international human rights law from the University of Oxford, UK.
