Ioana Cismas

Researcher

Ioana Cismas is a researcher at the Academy. Her work involves academic research and the provision of legal and policy expertise and advice to various stakeholders. As part of the team of the Project on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Ioana is offering legal support to one of the members of the Advisory Committee of the UN Human Rights Council. In this position, she contributed to a number of studies of the Advisory Committee, such as the Study on discrimination in the context of the right to food.

Gilles Giacca

Researcher and Teaching Assistant

Gilles Giacca is currently researcher and teaching assistant at the Academy. His main research area are related to economic, social and cultural rights in armed conflict situations, international law and armed non state actors, legal developments regarding the negotiation of a future Arms Trade Treaty, and the implementation of the rule of law in armed conflicts (RULAC Project).

Dr. Christophe Golay

Research Fellow

Christophe Golay est Co-coordinateur du Projet sur les droits économiques, sociaux et culturels à l’Académie. Ses recherches portent principalement sur le droit à l’alimentation, l’accès à la justice pour les victimes de violations des droits humains et le travail des procédures spéciales des Nations Unies sur les droits économiques, sociaux et culturels (DESC). Il fait des recherches pour le gouvernement suisse sur les DESC et donne plusieurs formations pour professionnels sur les DESC à l’Académie.

Claire Mahon

Research Fellow

Claire Mahon est une juriste spécialisée dans les droits de l’homme, basée à Genève, en Suisse. Elle est coordinatrice du Projet sur les droits économiques, sociaux et culturels à l’Académie de droit international humanitaire et des droits humains, et Professeur adjointe à la Faculté de droit de l’Université du Michigan.

Dr. Stuart Maslen

Research Fellow

Stuart Casey-Maslen is currently a Research Fellow at the Academy. His main research areas concern international law and armed non-state actors, legal developments regarding the negotiation of a future Arms Trade Treaty, the application of international human rights law to weapons, and the RULAC Project on the implementation of the Rule of Law in Armed Conflicts. He also serves as the Mine Action Editor of Landmine and Cluster Munition Monitor for Norwegian People’s Aid.

Alice Priddy

Research Fellow

Alice Priddy has been a researcher at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights since January 2011. Alice graduated with an LL.M in international human rights law and public international law from University College London in 2010. She completed her undergraduate degree in law at Southampton University, England.

Dr. Mina Rauschenbach

Research Fellow

Mina Rauschenbach est actuellement «Research Fellow» à L’Académie. Elle collabore à une recherche interdisciplinaire sur la perception des accusés du Tribunal Pénal International pour l’Ex-Yougoslavie. Ses domaines de recherches principaux concernent les perceptions et les représentations sociales de la justice, les relations intergroupes dans les conflits internationaux et l’attribution de la responsabilité dans le domaine pénal, ainsi que les victimes et leur vécu de la justice et la justice restauratrice.

Dr. Damien Scalia

Research Fellow

Damien Scalia est actuellement «Research Fellow» à l’Académie. Ses domaines de recherches sont la légitimité de la jutice pénale internationale, la perception des accusés, ainsi que les peines devant les juridictions internationales pénales. Par ailleurs, il enseigne le droit international pénal et le droit international humanitaire dans d’autres universités.
