Enrolment, Registration and Student Fees
All participants of the MAS offered by the Academy need to be enrolled as students at the University of Geneva. The cost of this enrolment procedure is CHF 65, also not reimbursable even if your enrolment at the University of Geneva is not successful. The students of the MAS can chose to register either at the Law Faculty of the University of Geneva or at the Graduate Institute of International Studies (HEI) (please tick the corresponding box on the enrolment form).

Both the Law Faculty and HEI charge Student Fees of CHF 500 per semester, which include the enrolment fee. Please note that you are obliged to confirm your enrolment in person when you arrive in Geneva, generally on specific dates in the week before the beginning of classes. This information will be communicated to you in the document confirming your enrolment. You must organise your travel to Geneva accordingly, so as to ensure your enrolment.

Waiver of Student Fees
Scholarship holders and students in financial difficulty can generally obtain a waiver of these Student Fees. If this situation applies to you, you can apply to the University Office for Information on Student Welfare (Bureau universitaire d'information sociale) or to the HEID Secretariat at the beginning of the academic year.

Scholarship programme
Students must try their best to take care of themselves financially, in particular by searching for scholarships through public or private institutions in their country of origin and in Switzerland (see the information below).

First of all, we recommend contacting the Students Services of your study institution, which will provide relevant advice and information, notably about scholarships or exchange programmes offered by your own government and/or institution.

Then, contact the nearest Swiss consulate or embassy, where you will find information about studying and living in Switzerland and available governmental scholarships.

Securing the resources to finance a course of studies abroad can be an arduous task. We hope the advice, contacts and links below will be of help.

For those students who are unable to secure funding, the Geneva Academy offers a limited number of scholarships.
