This programme is open to students who have a degree in law, a master in law or another academic qualification deemed equivalent by the MAS Admissions Committee. The degree needs to be issued by a Swiss university or another university which is recognised by the Academy and the University of Geneva.

The programme requires students to have a high proficiency in the language of the selected programme (English or French) covering comprehension, oral expression and the writing of papers, examinations and a master’s thesis. The number of participants of this programme is limited. Candidates are admitted on the basis of their submitted application file.

Application

We would like to inform you that, as from 15 February 2010, we are no longer accepting applications to the programme.

The admissions process for Master programme beginning in September 2011 will be open from October 2010 to December 2010.

Please note that application forms will only be available during that period.

Enrolment

Once you receive your confirmation of admission to the MAS, you must also register with the University of Geneva. You will receive information regarding the University of Geneva enrolment procedure at the same time as your confirmation of admission to the Academy. The commencement of your studies at the Academy is subject to your successful enrolment at the University of Geneva.

This aspect of your enrolment is managed by the  Enrolment Office of the University of Geneva. The Administration Office of the Academy cannot assist you with information about this process.

There is a non-reimburseable enrolment fee of CHF 65. This procedure can take a long time and we recommend that you begin this process as soon as you receive your letter of admission from the Academy. Students who need a visa to come to Geneva will need to attach the confirmation of enrolment at the University of Geneva to their visa application.

Visa
The Academy does not handle visa applications! For those students who will require a visa for their studies in Geneva, it is incumbent upon you to apply for your visa through the Swiss Consulate closest to your place of residence. The necessary information will be provided by the University Geneva at the time of enrolment. This process can take up to 3 months, so we recommend that you apply immediately.
