The 2005 Henry Dunant Prize to Ms. Maya Brehm, a Swiss national, for her master’s thesis on “Conventional Arms Transfers in the Light of Humanitarian and Human Rights Law”. The selection committee was particularly impressed by the rigorousness of Ms Brehm’s work and by her personal motivation.
Mr. Philip Grant and Ms. Gloria Gaggioli were also awarded ex aequo Henry Dunant Prize Certificates of Merit, offered by the Fondation Ousseimi, for the very high quality of their respective works.

The Henry Dunant Prize, offered by the Fondation du Prix Henry Dunant, awarded a particularly outstanding academic work of a student of the Academy. The Fondation’s aim in awarding this prize is to bring forward the role of those who, like Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross movement, embody a commitment for human dignity.
