Course Description
The course will analyze the different rules of international law governing the status of refugees. It is divided into three essential parts. The first part will examine the sources (both international and regional) and the fundamental principles of international refugee law. The second part will examine the rules governing the asylum procedure, while the third part will focus on the definition of refugees and beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, paying particular attention to the jurisprudence of the States Parties to the 1951 Geneva Convention relating to the status of Refugees.
